A message from Surrey County Council…
As you may know there will be changes this year to children’s centres and how Surrey County Council supports families.
The new approach will involve Surrey County Council focusing its resources on helping the families most in need of support, which means that some of the existing children’s centres will close and others will become Family Centres. Surrey County Council will no longer provide universal services for all families at Family Centres but other organisations, such as health visitors, may offer these at the centres and at other community venues.
You can use the Family Information Directory to find universal and other services, support groups, activities, events and more.
The changes will take place at different times across Surrey’s 11 districts and boroughs, so to make sure families can find out what is happening in their area the district and borough pages on the Family Information Service website will be regularly updated from April. They will provide information about when current activities offered at children’s centres will close and where Family Centres will open.
In addition there is a new page on the website which provides information about the final proposals that were agreed by Surrey County Council’s Cabinet. This also has a link to the results of the consultation that was undertaken to get views and suggestions on the draft proposals.
The Centre is open Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm.
See 'Our Activities' for an up to date timetable of sessions.
We are open in the school holidays too. Closures are always listed on this page.
Any queries give us a call on 01932 246918.
Please Note: Some sessions are for families in the Burhill area only - Our postcode checker is at the bottom of this page.
If you are attending the centre by car please take note of the parking conditions in the Hersham Centre Car Park.
You may park for up to 2 hours free - you do not require a ticket but must leave within the 2 hours as there are cameras sited at the entrance/exit. THERE IS A £90 FINE FOR OVER- STAYING
If you need to park for longer you may pay for up to 2 hours extra (4 hours in total) - you will need to pay £1.50 for the extra time at a meter located on the pharmacy wall at the centre entrance. This payment can be made at any point during your stay and before you exit.
There is a pay and display carpark at the top of New Berry Lane which is very reasonable.

We particulary ask you to note our sickness policy, infant feeding policy, food & drink policy, mobile phones & camera use policy, safeguarding & child protection policy, safeguarding statement, alcohol & smoking policy, complaints policy.
All play sessions are only available for families in the Burhill area, this is so our local families have the opportunity to have access to these sessions. - you may attend baby massage, Introduction to solids and first aid classes from out of area. The managers permission should be sought to attend more.
